5th July 2019
As you are aware Friday 12th July sees our 3rd Greenfields Festival. After last year’s successful Greenfields event the plan is to have a picnic on the field from 12pm onwards where parents can pick up their children and go and have a picnic lunch with some live music. At 12.45pm the children will then return to their class teachers and each class will perform on the “main stage” at 1pm, whilst family members can continue with their picnic. Entertainment will finish at approximately 1.45pm at which point children will be dismissed to their parents and can access the variety of stalls, refreshments and fun activities. Any child whose family members are unable to attend will be supervised by staff members until normal home time of 3.15pm. School dinners will still be available on Friday 12th July and if your child would like a picnic lunch please book a lunch on the school app (Kirkby C of E Primary on the App store or Play store) under booking forms tab. Infant meals are free but junior lunches cost £2.00 (unless entitled to free dinner) and should be paid as usual on the day. The forecast for next week is for mostly dry, sunny weather so please feel free to bring picnic blankets, umbrellas/beach shelters etc to make your experience more comfortable. Children will be allowed to wear their own festival clothes and hats although I don’t think they’ll be any need for wellies!!
We hope you will be able to come and join in the fun and look forward to seeing you on Friday 12th July. Children should be collected from their normal classroom doors and access to the field will be by the side gates through the car park.
12pm onwards – Picnic on field. Collect children from class and make way to field. Choose your spec by the main stage and enjoy the live music and dance.
