Dates & Activities March 18

27th February 2018

Dear Parents,

The next half term is a busy one, so I thought a list of dates and activities may be useful to keep you informed.

Thursday 1st March – World Book Day.  Children are invited to create a mask of their favourite character from a book.  Prizes for the best designs. School uniform to be worn.

Thursday 8th March – OWN CLOTHES DAY – in return please bring a chocolate Easter item.  These will be used for prizes at the PTA Bingo event.

Friday 9th March – Fair Trade Coffee Morning – All parents invited 9am- 10am in the school Hall.  All drinks and cakes/biscuits will be Fair Trade – supporting the Fair-Trade Fortnight.

Wednesday 14th March 1pm Review day - School will close at 1 pm and you will be able to make a 10-minute appointment to come and discuss your child's progress between 1.30-6pm.

Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th March – 3.20pm Easter Bunny Tea and Easter Activities.  See PTA flyer for more details.

Friday 23rd March – Sports Relief Fancy Dress Day.  We would love all the children to dress up in fancy dress.  The costume can be anything they like and preferably home-made (we certainly don’t want you to buy one especially).  There isn’t a theme but if you’re struggling try something sporty.  £1 donation per family for Sports Relief; prizes for the best outfits.

Tuesday 27th March – PTA Bingo and Quiz Night – 3.20-4.40pm.  See PTA flyer for details.

Wednesday 28th March – Easter Service at st Chad’s Church 2pm. Classes from 1-9 will all be contributing to the service.

Thursday 29th March – Easter Bonnet Parade/competition.  Children are invited to make their own seasonal bonnets/creations. Prizes for the most original hats.

Thursday 29th March – Break up 2pm

March is certainly a busy month but looks like being an enjoyable one!

Kind regards,

Mair Hindmarsh
